Overview

David Hunt has been with Mid-South since May of 1994. He is currently Vice President of Mid-South and Regional Director for Mid-Stateas of October 2008 when Mid-South became a subsidiary of Mid-State Consultants, Inc. David's responsibilities include: business development in markets such as FTTP Communities, Competitive Local Exchange Companies, Interexchange Carriers and Cable Television Companies.  Responsible for planning the implementation of new technologies into existing client networks and maintaining existing client relationships.

Prior to Mid-South, David was President of Commsult, a telecommunications consulting firm, that provided operations and network planning support to independent companies for two years.

David was Vice President of Network Service for Shenandoah Telephone Company in Edinburgh, Virginia for 4 years. His responsibilities included: central office and cellular planning, engineering and operations, outside plant engineering, CATV engineering, long distance operations and interstate fiber operations.

David was a manager with Southern Bell in Charlotte, North Carolina, with 18 years of managerial experience in network operations; special service circuit design; capital and expense budget preparation; long range analysis of inter-office facility projects; and outside plant engineering.

David has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He also graduated from the Young Executive Institute, in the Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte, a Community Leadership Development Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
